Data Deletion Instructions
How to delete your VulneraFinder data
Overview
VulneraFinder respects your privacy and provides multiple ways to delete your data. When you request deletion, we permanently remove all personal information associated with your account.
Option 1: Delete from Your Account Settings
If you have access to your VulneraFinder account:
- Log in to your VulneraFinder account
- Navigate to Settings → Account Security
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
- Confirm your deletion request
Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately.
Option 2: Email Request
If you cannot access your account or prefer email contact:
Send an email to privacy@vulnerafinder.com with:
- Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
- The email address associated with your account
- Any additional identifying information
We will process your request within 30 days and send confirmation when complete.
What Data is Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Account Information - Email, password hash, profile data
- Scan History - All vulnerability scans and results
- Keywords & Watchlists - Monitoring configurations
- Reports - Generated security reports
- OAuth Connections - Google, Facebook, and other linked accounts
- Session Data - All active sessions
- Audit Logs - Activity history (retained anonymized for security)
Facebook Login Users
If you signed up using Facebook Login:
- Deleting your VulneraFinder account removes all data stored on our servers
- To also remove the app connection from Facebook, visit Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
- Find VulneraFinder and click "Remove"
Data Retention
After deletion:
- Personal data is deleted immediately
- Backups are purged within 30 days
- Anonymized analytics may be retained for service improvement
